Blanca Arcos is a Spanish architect who graduated in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid in 2019. She began her career as a furniture designer in 2022 when she founded baba studio in Mexico City, thanks to her experience in carpentry, interior design, and architecture workshops where she also employees.

The studio arises as the result of formal experimentations that use wood or steel to propose collectible design pieces; the practice focuses on developing self-contradictory pieces, with an ephemeral character and a versatile use. The furniture is handcrafted in Mexico City, where the studio is involved in every production stage.

Having participated in many exhibitions and galleries from 2022 to 2025, such as Inédito in Mexico Design Week, Mexico Design Fair in Puerto Escondido or Unique Design x Group in Mexico Art Week, baba studio continues proposing new designs.
