MANIFEST /ˈmæn.ɪ.fest/
MANIFESTO
Objects present throughout our personal lives must be honored.
Mass production lacks the touch of the human hand.
We stand against imitation and replicas that strip avant-garde objects of their essence.
Design, when simulated to follow mass trends, becomes absurd.
Designers: make the world believe in your own talent.
Artists must pursue self-discovery through the act of creation.
The language of the artist will be translated through an object—and those who possess it will understand.
Every form of authenticity must be exalted.
Audacity is to be honored.
Craftsmanship must be celebrated in its own technique.
Objects in a room should not conform to fashion stereotypes.
Objects must never be described as new or old.
We are to observe the poetry of the everyday.
Inspiration must be an act of free will.
The nostalgia of the past and the utopia of the future shall coexist as parallels.
What is imperfect must be rendered impeccable.
An object is a portrait of oneself.
The artist is the soul of the piece, just as a chef is the soul of the dish.
Objects must be enjoyed as one savors a beautiful meal.
An object may be reinvented in the future by altering its function.
The soul of a space lies in the pieces that inhabit it.
A truly exquisite piece is not defined by its complexity or minimalism.
An object becomes an amulet for those who discover its origin.
Over time, objects will become symbols of power and beauty.

ABOUT
Toro Manifesto is a creative studio & collectible design gallery. We aim to deconstruct established ideas of furniture and design. We have to empower designers to manifest their own experiences through their creations, as well as empowering collectors to be brave and connect with Objects in a deep memorable feeling.
Wise people like to tell stories. For this reason, we believe that what will make a piece last a lifetime is the connection that whoever owns it will generate with a great story.
Toro represents an intimate group of artists, offering: limited Editions, collections & one of a kind Objects. The Gallery works closely with each artist, curating & co-producing each piece. We look for courage in artists working with established and young experimental design practices.

LONG STORY SHORT
Toro Manifesto is created in Mexico City by: Regina Merino, Horacio Verastegui & Arturo Verastegui founders & long time Friends. Connecting from different paths, they found the same desire to emphasize the connection that exists with timeless objects.
The Verastegui brothers began their career in the decade of the 90´s. Manufacturing furniture in a contemporary rustic mexican style in solid white cedar wood; style created by Pritzker prize winner Luis Barragan. Over time they evolved until they encountered with collectible design pieces.
Regina, as an industrial designer started to work free lance at 2015. She started to work at Breuer in 2018 designing limited editions for the brand where she became passionate about object art.
Together they created TORO, complementing each other with their own strengths and experiences, they generated their own Manifesto.
